Home exercise equipment for you?


Although a bench is not essential for keeping fit, and especially not at home, some individuals want to take their fitness training to the next level.  A bench can normally be used for a variety of exercises without weights too, e.g. abdominal work, and triceps just to give an example.

The bench that you can see in the video below is the latest model on the market and has awakened my curiosity.  Being a strong believer in the gym ball for core stability, it makes sense.  I would personally get comfortable balancing on it before trying to lift your usual weights on it.

I can see it offering more protection for painful backs.  Any pain in the back should obviously be treated correctly with advice from your doctor and physiotherapist.  If this includes exercises with light weights, then this type of bench may be an alternative.
